·         Supplement business retreats

·         Enhance marketing/advertising efforts

·         Augment technology (software, operating systems)

“Small businesses throughout our community have faced significant challenges over the past year starting with the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes and then the loss of revenue due to COVID-19,” said Vandalia-Butler Foundation Board of Trustees President Jean Maychack.  “The Vandalia-Butler Foundation recognizes the vital role our small businesses play in creating jobs and growing the economy and a Small Business Opportunity Grant can help to mitigate the impacts of recent events.”

The Vandalia-Butler Foundation Small Business Opportunity Grant was established in memory of Butler Township resident Ron Gearhart.  In 2019, The Vandalia-Butler Foundation’s Small Business Opportunity Grant was presented to Allen Lay of Kona Ice for business expansion in Vandalia and Butler Township.

Recipients are selected via a competitive application process.  The 2020 grant will be awarded in September.

The deadline to apply is August 21, 2020.  The application is available on the home page of our web site: vandalia-butlerfoundation.org
