Trustees April Meetings Cancelled and Rescheduled

The April 9, 2018 Trustee’s Workshop Meeting and the April 23, 2018 Trustee’s Regular scheduled meeting have been cancelled and combined for Monday, April 30, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Butler Township Meeting Hall at 3780 Little York Road.

Hydrant Testing

March 16, 2018

The Butler Township Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant testing from April 16, 2018 through April 30, 2018.  There will be crews in various parts of the township throughout this time.  Residents may notice a discoloration of the water, but the water will remain safe to consume.  If there is any discoloration then you are encouraged to run your water for a few minutes prior to washing laundry, cooking, etc.  We ask that if you notice any fire hydrants in your area leaking water or if you have any questions please contact Butler Township Fire Department at 890-2491 and ask for the duty supervisor.

Notice to Contractors

March 15, 2018

Sealed bids will be received in the Butler Township Administration Building, 3510 Sudachi Drive, Dayton, Ohio  45414, until 1:30 pm on April 16, 2018 for Project No. 201715 – YORK COMMONS SEC. 18/19 ROADWAY EXTENSION. Said bids will be opened as soon thereafter as the opening can begin in the Township Conference Room.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:  Project to consist of a 725 LF roadway extension together with storm, water and sanitary utility extensions.

Plans, specifications and bid documents are available at the Butler Township Administration Building, 3510 Sudachi Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45414 for $25.00, none of which will be refunded.


All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified or Cashier’s Check in accordance with the “Bid Guaranty” section of the Bid Documents. A performance Bond will be required  to replace the Bid Bond of the selected Contractor.

Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identifies as “Project No. 201715 - YORK COMMONS SEC. 18/19 ROADWAY EXTENSION” and must have the full name and address of the bidder on the envelope.

The Butler Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities of the bids, should same be to the advantage of the Township.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors Available for Residents

The Dayton Firefighters Federal Credit Union has once again generously donated 50 carbon monoxide detectors to the Butler Township Fire Department. Because of this great donation the Fire Department will be offering these carbon monoxide detectors free on a first come first serve basis. If you are in need of a carbon monoxide detectors please contact the on-duty supervisor at 937-890-2491 to make sure there are still detectors available.
