Major Tornado Damage Effects Areas of Butler Township

Butler Township experienced a severe weather event which moved through residential neighborhoods in the Township.  Our thoughts are with those residents and property owners who had significant damage and loss with this devastating event. The following streets experienced severe residential structural damage along with extensive tree damage and power outages.

  • Silver Rock
  • Society Ct
  • Spanish Villa
  • Sunny Ridge N
  • Sunny Ridge S
  • Towne Center
  • Walnut Ridge
  • Whitewater Ct
  • Yorkshire Dr

Butler Township Police and Fire are asking everyone that does not live or need to be in those areas to stay off of these streets while road and emergency crews along with DP&L continue to assess the damage.  Red Cross has opened an Emergency Shelter and is currently in operation at Morton Middle School, located at 8555 Peters Pike. When moving limbs and brush, please try to keep them off the roadway to keep streets open as much as possible. Residents can continue to check the township’s website  for additional information and updates on clean up efforts.
