Accepting Applications for Service Worker Position

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Montgomery County, Ohio is seeking an innovative, energetic person to serve as a Service Worker II in the Service Department which would perform various types of physical manual labor, including operating light to medium equipment, cleaning catch basins & ditch lines, concrete & asphalt repair work, maintenance & cleaning of public buildings, mowing grass, removing debris from roadways, brush removal & tree trimming, maintenance & burials at township cemeteries, repairing drainage structures, sign fabrication & installation, painting & striping streets, vehicle maintenance & snow removal.

Candidates must be 18, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, have 2 years of experience in public works, construction or maintenance related field and have a CDL. Candidates may be required to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of appointment. Those currently holding a Class A CDL may receive preference.

Candidates will undergo interviews, extensive background investigation, physical & drug screen.

Starting hourly rate is $20.36 per hour with excellent benefits and overtime opportunities. Standard work week is 8 hours per day M-F, summer schedule is 10 hours per day M-TH.
